Supporting Local Families with Zechut Horim
Students take an active role in a weekly community initiative, preparing and distributing food packages to families who need support.

Values-based education extends far beyond the classroom. At Ulpenat Tzvia Kokhav Yaakov, volunteering, mutual responsibility, and a commitment to the community are an important part of each student’s personal development.
Learning to give
The school hosts a local branch of Zechut Horim, a nationwide organization that supports families in need by distributing food packages.
Every week, students participate in the practical stages of the initiative: purchasing groceries, packing the products, and distributing the completed packages to families in the local community.

"Community involvement teaches students that values become meaningful when they are transformed into consistent action."
— ULPENAT TZVIA KOKHAV YAAKOV
A meaningful connection with the local community
Each part of the process gives students an opportunity to assume responsibility, work together, and understand the meaning of giving with sensitivity and respect.
This activity is more than an isolated act of kindness. It creates a direct connection between the students and the community in which they live and study.
Through consistent participation, students develop a deeper awareness of the needs around them and learn how simple, thoughtful actions can make a meaningful difference.
