Social Sciences at Ulpenat Tzvia Kokhav Yaakov gives students a new lens for understanding people, communities, and the forces that shape everyday life.
// ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
The social sciences track helps students examine familiar experiences from a new perspective. Why do people behave as they do? How do groups influence individuals? How are attitudes connected to actions? How do values and norms shape everyday life?
The five-unit programme combines psychology and sociology with a research project. Students explore cultures, values, norms, gender, social roles, different types of groups, and the ways in which society influences the individual.
In psychology, they encounter topics such as emotions, cognition, perception, attention, attitudes, behaviour, and social influence. The research component gives students an opportunity to ask questions, examine information, and draw thoughtful conclusions.
